The Education Committee Sponsored USEJ Program Report
This Year a Total of 19 People Enjoyed 17 Days in Japan

USEJ Program in Nara

Since 1975 JBA has run a program to support education called "US Educators to Japan". This year, for the 31st time, from June 27th to July 13th, the program was successful once again. 16 Educators from the Downtown, Southbay and Orange County areas along with the principal of the San Gabriel school that Asahi Gakuen is borrowing and two who paid their own way made up the total of 19 who enjoyed this trip. The destinations included schools and businesses in Tokyo, Nara and Kyoto as well as famous tourist attractions. The participants were also able to experience a home stay in Nara and Aichi. On top of that, partiscipants went to this year's "Expo 2005 Aichi Japan". From this month on JBA will feature essays from those who went on this trip in the JBA newsletter.
